The Waihī Santa Parade is on 2 December at midday! The Kerepehi Brass Band and The Grey Wacki Celtic Pipe Band will perform and entertain the crowds on the day.
Santa’s Grotto will be available for photos in the lobby of Barden & Co Lawyers and St John is working on a sausage sizzle.
Time is running out to enter a float, but if you want to enter one, download the entry form or pick one up from Waihi Paper Plus and Toyworld. Carters Contractors are happy to provide trucks and drivers for use as floats. Please phone them on (07) 863 7050 if you want to make use of their extremely generous offer.
Remember, $1,000 cash, a trophy and bragging rights are up for grabs for the best float and $500 cash will go to each of the two runner-up floats.
The parade is also supported by Hauraki District Council, Go Waihi, the Waihi Lions, Coast Civil, Waihi Paper Plus and Toyworld, Waihi Coffee Roasters and Waihi Super Liquor. Remember, the more floats, the better the parade.
