Launch of the Salvation Army Christmas Present Drive
@ Harcourts Gold Star Offices, Wilson Road, Waihi Beach
So many kids are in need this festive season and the present drive will help towards putting a smile on a child’s face. Harcourts Goldstar Real Estate are hosting this present drive and their office will be stocked with Christmas decorations and treats, ready for when you drop off a gift.

Taking Christmas to the People
Wilson Road, Waihi Beach
The United Church carollers will be driven to several locations (to be confirmed) to sing their hearts out and spread some joy around the beach. They will finish at the Christmas tree around 7.30pm when the lights will be turned on.

Santa’s Grotto
@ L J Hooker offices, Wilson Road, Waihi Beach
Santa’s coming to town! The LJ Hooker office will transform into a festive, colourful Santa’s grotto. Kids and adults can come pop in and say Hi to Santa, drop in their list and have a few Christmas Treats.

Events & Promotions has teamed up with Edit on Seddon to produce some unique clay Christmas tree decorations that can be painted. A decoration station for kids will be set up on the deck of the Waihi Beach Info Centre and children can book in to come at a specific time and create a beautiful decoration they can take home. Promos and Comps
Another area Waihi Beach Events & Promotions are passionate about is supporting the local business community as much as possible - particularly after another tough year and in more recent months the loss of Auckland and Waikato shoppers. Therefore, a Christmas retail promotion kicked off on the 25th of November. Spend $25 at participating retailers (over 20 beach shops) and go in the draw to win 2 x $250 prizes of Waihi Beach dollars, which can be spent at any of the retailers involved in the promotion.
A fun competition for the kids is to guess the number of baubles on the community Christmas Tree to win a $50 voucher to spend at a Waihi Beach store. Once the tree goes up on the 8th of December, people can pop into the Waihi Beach Home & Hardware shop to complete an entry form and have a go at picking the exact number of baubles.
Both competitions are drawn on Monday 20th December.
