On the Beach is an all-new, absolute beachfront wedding venue at gorgeous Waihi Beach.
Established by Andy Kennedy, owner of nearby Flat White Café, this fantastic Waihi Beach venue provides couples with an all-in-one wedding location where they can marry on the beach and then proceed with their guests to a beautiful marquee for an unforgettable seaside reception.
The purpose-built Bedouin-style Stretch Tent is central to enhancing the location’s magic. Designed to Andy’s specifications, it creates a private dining area for up to 150 guests and affords stunning views across the ocean to Mayor Island. Tasteful décor, beach-themed table settings and a spacious dance floor add to the glamour of this wonderful venue.
Wedding breakfasts are catered for from the adjacent Flat White Café kitchen where Andy and his staff are happy to prepare menus to suit couples’ special requests. Guests can stay in nearby holiday homes, motels and holiday parks and take the opportunity to spend as long as they desire at beautiful Waihi Beach. With bookings well underway for next season, On the Beach has the potential to be one of the most popular venues in the Bay.
