Vision Waihi Trust (VWT) has been actively involved in a number of the 2020 Vision projects since its formation.
As outlined in its business planning this involvement comes in various forms and includes a combination of:
- Direct management, leadership and/or facilitation of some projects.
- Providing advice, support and capacity building assistance for some projects.
- Providing collaboration and consultative assistance for other projects.
Whenever viable an underlying strategy toward initiatives and projects will be one of a multi-project approach in order to obtain positive and sustainable outcomes for the community of Waihi.
A few of the key projects receiving VWT leadership and assistance over include the Pumphouse relocation, the town re-branding as Waihi - New Zealand's heart of gold, the new Waihi Visitor Centre and the Gold Discovery Centre project.
VWT provides support for many of the community groups listed on this site and would like to acknowledge the significant effort and energy that is committed by the people who drive these visions. You are making a fantastic contribution - Thank you!
