Here it comes; Daylight Saving (clocks forward), October, the school holidays, more rain, lunch and dinner and Waihi’s GOLDFEST 2015. We’re set with a good number of events across October, including a good mix of things through the school holidays. We’ll break it down for you so you don’t miss anything, and you can take advantage of everything on offer, and it starts tomorrow! Programmes are all around town and at www.waihi.org.nz.

GOLDFEST: SATURDAY FOR STARTERS
Oktoberfest in Germany is traditionally celebrated about now, and that’s exactly what Waihi’s Waitete Restaurant, Cafe and Icecreamery in Orchard Rd is doing. Oompa up your Saturday with a great night out from 5.30 pm until whenever with live music; your first wine, bubbly or beer free, and you keep the souvenir glass. They’ve added to their menu with a special German influence, dress for the occasion and you could win one of the great prizes, and enjoy yourself, with you good friends of course; that’s a must. Phone 07 863 8980 or visit waitete.co.nz.

GO Waihi proudly presents a fun time for everyone, no matter what age. Thanks to Waihi New World for supporting this fitness test, vision test, memory test and the $100, $75 and $50 vouchers for the closest guesses.
