'The Red and the Gold' - Waihi Drama Society

Waihi Drama Society takes to the stage Thursday 1st November for the first performances of two plays by Campbell Smith, who has strong links with Waihi. ‘The Red and Gold’, based in 1912, covers the Miners’ Strike that was coming to a head about now, and ‘The Miners of Waihi’ is set in 1915 and looks back at the strike and how some of the men become tunnellers in WWI.
Tickets are $20 at United Video and the season runs until November 10.
