Events » Celebrate International Day of Older Persons
Making the most of the benefits of being older is what it’s about. Hauraki District Council is putting together a strategy to make sure Hauraki is a great place for older people to live.
As part of this strategy if you’re 65 or ‘spritelier’ (new word I must add to the dictionary), to celebrate the International Day of Older Persons, there’s a morning tea being held on Monday 11 November at Waihi Memorial Hall from 10 am to midday, where you’ll also get to hear some healthy living tips from Sport Waikato. This will be followed from 12.30 pm to 1.30 pm with Silver Surfers, whetting the appetite for computing, and learning about e-books and audio books. Book your place by calling into HDC’s Waihi office in upper Seddon St by Monday November 4.
