SHOPPERS MARKET DAY THIS SATURDAY
This Saturday, rain, hail or shine, it's on. From 9am the stalls will be being set up all along Seddon St and in the Waihi Memorial Hall. There're rides for the children and music through the streets. Shops have come on board with sales and specials and we’re looking forward to a fun time downtown in Waihi.

This day is for you, so please come along and enjoy it. If wet, just add a raincoat and umbrella to the list of things to bring. Money raised from the small fee for stall holders is going to the Waihi St John Area Committee, a great cause I’m sure you agree. Want to book a site? Phone Jenny on 863 9066, or email me NOW!

STOP, SHOP AND WIN
Very popular last year, this promotion is back again. Just by shopping in a participating store, look for the signs on their window, you go into the draw for the Pot of Gold. That's a pot full of 1,000 $1 coins. No questions to answer, no data base and 1001 rules. Just leave your contact details in the box provided in each shop and you’re in with a chance.

This will be drawn on Friday October 9th at 8.15am on 96.4 Gold FM.

WINDOW WONDERLAND
Wow, what a great show being put on by the shops downtown at the moment with the Best Dressed Window Competition. It never ceases to amaze, the effort put in by the shops, considering all the other commitments they have. Well done!

Make sure you get into town this week to have a look around, and feel free to pass on your positive comments. There’s a $600 advertising package with the Waihi Leader and Gold FM for the winning shop, along with two prizes of goods donated by all the shops taking part, going to first and second place getters. Remember judges are out at any time this week.

HERE COME THE TROLLEYS
This Saturday at 12.30pm, they’re on their way. Find a good spot to watch, somewhere from the top of Haszard St down to Seddon Street. Waihi Lions are in charge, please remember to leave the road clear, so the trolleys can do their thing, it’s one less thing for them to organise.

It's shaping up to be a good event. And it's not too late to enter, entry forms are at the Waihi Library, Gold FM and at the Booking Office at the Visitor Centre, opposite the Pumphouse, that's where you drop them back to. You can also download a form here:
