Echo Walking Festival 2009

Echo Walking Festival 2009

When:

Saturday, 18 April 2009 - Sunday, 26 April 2009

Details:

Now in it's sixth year, this event caters for all levels of fitness and experience. There are about 20 walks covering the Kaimai's to Coromandel.

April 18th to the 26th is the time to think about getting out and enjoying our backyard on a guided walk or three. We have four local walks and people book either on line at www.echowalkfest.org.nz or at the local Info Centre.

There will be 4 local walks:

  • 1 hour walk around the Pit Rim at night
  • 5 hour walk to Homunga Bay and back
  • Black Hill Walk
  • Farm Walk
There are also walks planned for the beautiful Karangahake area.

To find out more about the walks, including dates, times and degree of difficulty go to www.echowalkfest.org.nz. Brochures are at the Visitor Centre, library and a variety of outlets around town and further afield.

For other inquiries please contact us at Go Waihi or phone 07 863 3030.
