Put on a brave face, and something crazy to wear, and head for the surf at 11am on Sunday the 21st with the
Waihi Beach Lifeguard Service Mid Winter Polar Plunge.
You can prove how silly you really are by dipping in the nippy waters beside the club at the North end of the beach. Registration's on the day from 10.30. At 11am it's into the nippy water for the brave. Hot soup will be available afterwards to warm up with.
It's all for a good cause, with some great spot prizes for oldest, youngest, craziest outfit, teams, business teams and emergency services categories included. There's even a 'too chicken to take the plunge' category. What have you got to lose?
